Wonderful Presentation of a Classic! While I concede that if you listen to, the truly wonderful, LOTR play before this as the earlier reviewer has you may be surprised at the different style and tone of the play. The original master tapes for the series seem to have been wiped in the s. The sound quality of these recordings is clear and legible, though it is noticeably inferior to a studio-quality recording and exhibits prominent tape hiss. I think someone not familiar with the book would have a very hard time following the story, but for Tolkien fans, it's harmless drsmatized at least.
