First, the guitar work on this album is phenomenal. The musicianship is excellent. Visceral Disgorge - Slithering Evisceration. Also, try not to put too much importance on the ridiculous song titles. It's a bunch of unrelated phrases thrown together with little to no rhyme or reason. The leads are done very well, and while being modestly woven into the songs, they are often quite beautiful, and only enhance the sound of the rhythm section. It makes you think, yet it makes you want more.

I find that lately, so many bands are concerned with filling as many riffs, tempo changes and the like into their songs that they, in turn, become tedious and vicious.

Most of the music is mid to fast paced with the occasional Suffocation like blast beat, but the pace is generally not in blast beat tempo. The drum sound is quite thick, but certainly does not cause a distraction in the music, and flows perfectly throughout the ggorod. Atmospheric progressive Death Metal meets black opera, meets intelligent lyrics about a dying earth and human scum.
